From the end of September until mid-December, the visitor's experience will be complemented by 4 ๐™จ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™™ & ๐™ข๐™ช๐™จ๐™ž๐™˜ ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง๐™›๐™ค๐™ง๐™ข๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š๐™จ that will take place inside the installation.

In a world where the notion of togetherness is challenging, one can experience it as an archipelago of solitudes.

The installation will be open from September 26th until December 2020.ย

Josuรฉ Amador & Arvind Ganga

Combining an explorative mind with an obsession for raw sound, Dutch guitar player Arvind Ganga creates an intense sonic experience that is simultaneously abstract, psychedelic, noisy, and spiritual. Physical manual creation is crucial to his approach, where he wrenches the sounds out of his guitar using his bare hands, improper techniques, a bunch of objects, and a simple reverse effect. With free improvisation, he throws them back together into a pulsating universe that is uniquely his own. Ethereal noise with a punk-improv attitude.

Josuรฉ Amador is a composer, improvising performer, and researcher based in The Netherlands. His works explore alternative approaches to contemporary music composition and performance practices involving different forms of improvisation and the use of open public spaces.

Gonรงalo Almeida is adouble-bass player... sound... space...... the bass with the sound, the player in the space, the sound of the space, a double-bass sounding at the pace of the player.

cTrL (Lucija Gregov and Tisa Neลพa Herlec) feat. Philipp Ernsting

Lucija Gregov(HR) and Tisa Neลพa Herlec (SI) form cTrL, a free improvisation duo based in Rotterdam, exploring precarity, vulnerability, and politics with voice and cello.

Philipp Ernsting is an innovative percussionist active in the Rotterdam improv scene and a busy session musician. Philipp plays in a number of bands (Albatre, Doctor Schnitt, Acid Folk, Anticlan) and projects with which he tours abroad and he also records film music. He has been involved in the modern dance scene for years, taking part in local and international projects.

'As soon as we become motionless, we are elsewhere' is the result of the first art residency organized by TOT (The Orange Tree Art Project) in the garden of Ateliergebouw Oranjeboom in Rotterdam.

mยทka is an architect specializing in exhibition design and this is her debut art installation. She has a fascination for the dialectics between the permanent and the temporary. mยทka takes enjoyment in questioning what she is doing, what and how others are doing and thinking; this fuels her artistic practice. Through her projects, and sometimes just scraps of ideas, she explores nuances and textures through sound, text, and spatial interventions.
