RUSHES #02, hosted at FilmDak, is a test screening of fragments and scenes from my unfinished project filmed in Uzbekistan. An equivalent scenario is when comedians try out fresh material on a willing audience. The encounters and situations I project will be connected using personal fieldnotes and video diaries.   

After the launch and seeing how the space can be used, join us on Tuesday 29 Oct, for our third session with your thoughts and suggestions.

After a successful first meeting, plans were made to meet on the last Tuesday of the month.

This first meeting we'll review the FilmDak Films launch and talk with some of the filmmakers.

For the FilmDakFilms launch, we've selected films shot in Rotterdam by local filmmakers, and you are invited on Saturday 21 between 17:00 -20:00.

The second of this year's open call-artists, Artist – Curator, Tiiu Meiner opens her exhibition, Low low below with a - treasure hunt/workshop – featuring sound artist, Colette Aliman. 'To dirt, we will return' explores the power of mythical stories to reassess our relationship with nature. In a time of ecological crisis, visitors go on a treasure hunt in the TOT garden, an activity that takes us back to the core of who we are.

The first of this year's open-call artists, Artist – Filmmaker Dachen Bao Wind, Soil, and Bowers of Empty Illusion, opens his multimedia installation in the backyard with a Screening and sound Performance by the trio Muxingye Chen + Matteo Mazzu + Micheal Murray. The screening starts at 15:30 in the attic and screens all day Sunday.

This year, during the Groot Rotterdames Atelier Weekend, TOT offers the attic to the artists of the Keilewerf as part of the Artists without Space project, which has been running since 2020. Follow this link for up-to-date information and donate to the recent fire-engulfed Keilewerf studio complex.

With enthusiastic curiosity, TOT and architect Wouter Willers attended the final presentation of the Technasium (Lebanon Lyceum) "team" Bibian, Louk, Luca, and Romaisa. The criteria put forward by TOT for this learning program have been taken up pleasantly by this enthusiastic team and incorporated into a beautiful and playful model building. The final presentation was a clever interpretation of an instructive assignment.
